We selected Grotes Garden Design to landscape our front and back yard after building a DADU. We decided to work with Brandon and his team because he brought a thoughtful vision to our project. He had many ideas we ended up using. Other landscapers we talked with did not offer the same level of creativity and design experience. The project included fencing, drainage, sprinkler/drip irrigation, paver patio and walkway, flower beds and lawn. We are extremely happy with the end result and enjoyed working with Brandon through the process of design and plant selection. We could tell Brandon brings a high level of passion to his projects and genuinely cares about his customers being happy with the end result. Since our project was completed Brandon has remained available to answer all our follow up questions.

We hired Brandon to do the full yard landscaping for our newly built custom home.Brandon did an excellent job and the end result was a beautiful garden. He has a great attention to detail and is a stickler for quality. The job was completed timely as well and we now have a piece of paradise to enjoy!

We have been working with Brandon from Grote's Garden Design for nearly 3 years, during which time we have transformed the garden supplied with our new construction home into a tranquil oasis that attracts a variety of birds throughout the year. The original garden had a number of issues that ranged from poor soil and drainage through to trees overgrown with ivy or poorly planted. We wanted a garden that reminded us of the time we spent living in Asia, filled with colour and variety, and had a natural look. Brandon translated our ideas into a plan that set the foundation for the garden we have today. Lawn was removed to make way for garden beds and a flagstone path in our backyard. French drains and catchments were installed that effectively improved drainage, while the existing water system was modified to suit the new garden design. Trees were removed or relocated and various Japanese maples were planted in garden beds that received good quality soil. Existing plants were redeployed and joined by various ornamental grasses, firs and shrubs and dressed with generous amounts of mulch. All up Brandon and his crew took around 6 weeks to complete the first phase of the landscaping. Brandon returned to help us add a Japanese-style gazebo to the garden, and over the course of the next 18 months we collaborated with Brandon to improve and extend the garden. We really liked Brandon's ability to quickly understand the vision we had for our garden, his expansive plant knowledge, his expertise in identifying and correcting issues with a landscape, in addition to his enthusiasm and drive to deliver an outstanding result. We definitely recommend Grote's Garden Design for any landscape design and installation!
